National Science Week is an annual celebration of science in Australia and an opportunity to join together to enjoy and explore the wonders and benefits of Science.
This year, Taronga Zoo and the Royal Botanic Gardens & Domain Trust are combining to offer workshops that explore the incredible strategies plants and animals use to adapt to their surroundings.
Living in the rainforest is as demanding as the driest of deserts but for very different reasons. Animals and plants are successful in both types of environment but just how do they contend with all that nature throws at them?
Expert biologists, including staff from Taronga Zoo and the Gardens will deliver specialised workshops and video conference sessions that excite and inspire students to understand and care for animals and plants. School groups will visit either Taronga Zoo or the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney, attending 2 x one hour workshops with a lunch break between sessions.
Video conference sessions also available.
Stage/Age Targeted
Stage 3 - There is only room for 4 groups - so get in quick!
