Its official, our new male Wedge-tailed Eagle has a name, and that name is George! As a Principal Partner of Taronga Zoo, QBE had the exclusive opportunity to be involved in the naming of this up-and-coming bird. A perfect winter’s night heralded the opening of Mosman’s newest café at one of Sydney’s greatest icons - Taronga Zoo. A team effort between Taronga and one of Australia’s leading caterer’s Restaurant Associates brought Giovanni Pilu (of the two hatted restaurant Pilu at Freshwater) to head up the new café. As it’s at the entry to the Zoo, there is no need to pay any admission fee to visit. It welcomes both zoo patrons and locals with 90 minutes free parking.
