Australia’s largest long-necked turtle. With a shell that can grow to almost 50cm and an outstretched neck that’s almost a long, the adult Broad-shelled Turtle is an impressive sight! It hides under sunken logs and water plants to ambush prey, lunging with its long neck to snap up fish and fast swimming insects.
