Males are typically smaller than females, with the female size ranging from 6-11cm in comparison to the male's size range of 6-7cm. Both sexes can make a loud screaming sound but only males make the loud 'wark-wark' mating call.
These frogs breed in the months of November through to February.
200-2000 eggs will be laid in all types of still water including water tanks, swimming pools, swamps and the occasional toilet.
Tadpoles undergo metamorphosis into frogs in 6 weeks.
