Galapagos Tortoise hatchling
Taronga Western Plains Zoo’s Galapagos Tortoise hatchling that was born in 2011 was the first to be born in Australasia.
The tiny hatchling, named NJ by keepers, has now taken up residency in its new specially built home over at the Galapagos Tortoise exhibit.
During the warmer weather NJ enjoys a soak in warm water.
