Casey
Species:

Leopard Seal
Taronga Zoo’s Leopard Seals Casey enjoys the surroundings of the Great Southern Ocean exhibit. Casey arrived on Australian shores emaciated and close to death. After months of expert care Casey returned to a normal, healthy condition and will continue to live at Taronga Zoo.
Due to international quarantine law, the Zoo is required to provide a home for this animal and it is a privilege to do so. At the same time, we are gaining valuable knowledge that helps us better understand wild populations.
