Banksia growing in confidence
Friday 23rd March 2012
Banksia the Koala joey is continuing to grow and develop under the watchful eye of mother, Lilli Pilli. Banksia is starting to spend short periods away from Lilli Pilli although she never ventures too far from her mother’s side. The pair is regularly seen on the platform eating the fresh eucalyptus leaves provided daily by their keepers.
Over the coming months Banksia will start to become more and more independent and will start exploring her environment on her own but at present she is content with being curious but staying by mum’s side.
