Elephant Keeper Update
Thursday 27th December 2012

We’re pleased to report that elephant keeper, Lucy Melo, returned to work at Taronga Zoo in the week before Christmas.

Lucy is recovering well and has been enjoying her contact with the elephants.

Lucy said:  “I’m back! I am very happy to report that I have been cleared to return to work on light duties.”

“ I am thrilled to be reunited with my elephant family and work mates. I will be quietly spending this time re-bonding with the elephants. “

“Being back at work was the best Christmas present I could have wished for! “

“My heartfelt thanks again for all the well-wishes and messages of support during my recovery.  I wish you all a very safe and happy holiday season!
