The Education Centre is located near the Main Entrance of the zoo, right beside the Koala Walkabout Exhibit. It was specifically designed as a learning space for children of all ages. As the Backyard to Bush and Wild Asia Classrooms are aimed at primary school level, many of our workshops held in the Education Centre are aimed at Secondary School Students.

We house a variety of animals in the Education Centre such as snakes, lizards, phasmids, possums, echidnas and much more!

The event was held on the 5th of June at Taronga Zoo with Nat Geo WILD’s Ben Britton as guest speaker.

The day brought together passionate teachers and students representatives from schools around NSW. The networking that occurred on the day was inspirational and we hope leads to many great initiatives that support biodiversity. The day also hd presentations and workshops exploring new knowledge and skills to help further improve school environmental projects.
