Increased self-esteem, enhanced social skills and improved educational outcomes are some of the positive benefits experienced by indigenous children in the Indigenous Awareness Program. This program, which has been operating for two years, targets high-risk children under 24-hour departmental care. Children assist with animal care, take part in education workshops and participate in art and cultural activities.

Children enter a fun, engaging learning environment where they develop positive skills necessary for adulthood.
