Each year Taronga Zoo hosts exciting curriculum focus days on global threats facing wildlife. These curriculum-based focus days are designed to enhance students’ knowledge and feature workshops led by expert scientists as well as animal encounters. Your students will walk away from the day acquiring key geographical information, a greater world view and a passion to explore sustainable solutions for how to tackle these global issues.

Oceans of Plastic

When: Friday 31st March, 9:30am – 2pm

Where: Taronga Zoo Sydney

Cost: $22 per student (teachers free of charge) – maximum 60 students per class.

It is estimated that 8 million tonnes of new plastic debris enters the world’s oceans every year. Hear from Taronga’s wildlife health experts about the impact of plastics in our oceans, scientists working to pull micro-plastics from our environment and what we all can do to take action.

The Truth About Palm Oil
