Taronga Zoo is featuring amazing Australian Reptiles to celebrate the Chinese Year of the Snake and Biodiversity Month in 2013. On National Threatened Species Day we are featuring snakes.
Students will meet a variety of snakes and other live reptiles including lizards, turtles and crocodiles that live in Australia’s many different habitats. We will look at reptile characteristics, their predators and prey, their special features for survival and the role reptiles play in maintaining biodiversity. Students will also participate in discussions around the role humans play in protecting these amazing, ancient animals.
These video conference sessions will feature live animals, interviews with reptile keepers and interactive whiteboard visual display.
