IMAGINE . CREATE . INSPIRE (National Youth Week)
Do you have a passion for wildlife, conservation and photography? Like to improve your skills to create the images that inspire others to care for our wildlife?
Taronga Zoo will be providing specialised photography workshops for participants who wish to focus their lenses on wildlife and conservation themes. Throughout the workshops you will meet our favourite zoo characters such as ‘Duke’ the tortoise, ‘Autumn’ the Quokka and ‘Tom’ the Tawny Frog Mouth ‘. Come and hear their amazing stories and learn how to capture their unique personalities on camera.
Whilst meeting the animals, trained professionals will teach you techniques such as composition, lighting, image elements, and exposure in a wildlife photography context.
This is a halfday workshop running from 10am - 2pm. It is recommended for Stage 5 - 6 students (Yr 9 - 12) who already have a basic knowledge of photography and own/ have access to an SLR camera.
Participants will be eligible to enter a Taronga Photographic Competition (details available soon)!
Target Age/Stage
Stage 4, Stage 5 and Stage 6
