Learn from the best and go behind-the-scenes to meet some of Taronga’s favourite characters. Get a personal look at what it takes to care for some of the smartest animals in the world like Gorillas, Orang-utans and Chimpanzees.
This course is held over three sessions as an accredited assessment pathway is offered during this course if desired. Successful completion will lead to a Statement of Attainment in ACMSPE310A Provide basic care of mammals.
This unit of competency covers the process of identifying mammals and their behavioural and physical needs, providing daily care requirements, assisting with behavioural and basic preventative health measures.
Entry Requirements
Minimum age requirement for this course is 16 years of age.

Taronga Zoo, Bradleys Head Road, Mosman.

- 11th, 14th, 18th September
The course runs over 3 sessions. The two weekday sessions run from 4pm to 8pm and the weekend session is from 9am - 5pm. You need to attend all 3 sessions to complete the course.
