"Completing the Certificate III in Captive Animal Management has been an incredible experience. The classroom sessions were always extremely interesting and informative, taught by current Zoo staff and keepers from various areas around the Zoo, giving a really accurate sense of what zoo life is all about. The practical component was by far the best part of the course! Having one day per week working in four different divisions gave me the opportunity to meet lots of staff, learn a variety of keeper rounds, and learn about many different species and how they are cared for. I have been so lucky in gaining casual work as a keeper, and my passion for animals is even stronger than ever thanks to this course. It is a fabulous environment with amazing creatures, great staff, and a beautiful outlook. I recommend the course to anyone with a love of animals!"
