Care of Reptiles

Do you love reptiles and plan on keeping one as a pet? Do you already keep reptiles and want to learn more about how to take better care of them? Come and learn more about these fascinating animals from our experts at Taronga Zoo!

Reptile keeping is a two-day course designed to give you the know how and confidence to successfully keep your own reptiles at home. Come learn the basics of selecting, handling, housing and feeding as well as enjoying amazing behind-the-scenes experiences with our reptiles at Taronga!

Participants will be treated to two full days with Taronga Zoo’s expert Reptile Keepers, course material to take home, lunch each day, a certificate of participation and a photo as a memorabilia gift of your experience.                                          

Entry Requirements

Minimum age requirement for this course is 16 years of age. Participants are also required to have a reasonable level of fitness and physical ability to traverse the Taronga Zoo site.

Where is the course held?

The course will be held at Taronga Zoo. Participants meet at the Taronga Zoo front entrance at 7.50am.

Duration

The course is presented over two days, 8.00am – 5.00pm.

Cost

$395 per person.
