Hi kids! Want to be a zoo keeper but too young to join YATZ or volunteer?
Junior Keeper for a Day is a specially designed hands-on day for children aged 8 - 12 years old who’d like to work with animals or in the conservation field when they grow up. Hosted by our team of dedicated Educators, participants learn the daily routines and expectations of a Taronga Keeper.
Through a range of interactive activities and special behind the scenes visits, Junior Keeper for a Day participants will meet some of Taronga Zoo's Australian native animals up close and learn how we can care for them and protect them into the future.
Junior Keeper for a Day is an amazing experience and a once in a lifetime opportunity to get really close to some of Taronga Zoo’s most popular animals!
Age: 8 - 12 years old.
Unfortunately, this does mean that we are unable to accept any children younger than 8 years old for this program.
Time: 10am – 3pm.
However, you're welcome to arrive from 9:45am to allow time for signing in, asking questions, applying sunscreen etc.
There is a maximum of 15 children for this program.
$95 per child.
