Have you ever wondered how Taronga Zoo’s keepers train a seal, a lion or even an elephant?

Come behind the scenes for a once in a lifetime experience at Taronga Zoo and learn about animal training from the experts!

The Animal Training is a course designed to give you a peek at the skills, know-how and animal training techniques used by our keepers at Taronga. This course is held over two full days and an accredited assessment pathway is offered during this course if desired. Successful completion will lead to a Statement of Attainment in ACMGAS306A Assist with conditioning animals.

Your course will be facilitated by one of Taronga Zoo’s expert Animal Trainers. You will spend part of your time in the classroom learning about the theory around training and part of your time out and about in the Zoo seeing these principles put into practice with some of the animals in the Zoo's collection.

Where is the course held?

Taronga Zoo, Bradleys Head Road, Mosman.
