Tiger Zoofari 2014 was a great success in raising funds to support the critically endangered Sumatran Tiger. On the night, guests were treated to a regal affair with essences of a Tiger Kingdom showcased throughout; from the outdoor garden auction, to the lavish room styling including an opulent, chiffon-draped stage set, complete with a golden gong to Club Roar — a glowing retro after party.
Taronga Foundation raised over $396,000 through ticket sales, auctions, lucky key sales, the raffle, and generous pledges. Indeed, the success of this major fundraising event is a testament to the loyalty of regular donors, as well as the enthusiasm of new supporters.
Thank you to the fabulous Jean Kittson, for MC'ing the event.
As always, we couldn't have achieved such a great result without the hard work and dedication of our wonderful Zoofari committee:
- Chair Terry Kaljo
- Dominique Cerrone Parisi
- Janine Collins
- Debbie Coffey
- Mandy Foley-Quin
- Amelia Johnson
- Kerry Jones
- Vicki Jones
- Emma Snodgrass
- Anthony Whitehouse
Funds raised will be directed towards breeding and conservation projects to assist Sumatran Tigers at Taronga Zoo and in the wild.
