Each of them has a keen eye for the brightest colours and the most beautiful shapes. And like most children, my granddaughters never hold back when it comes to telling me what they love the most... Is it the snake? Is it the rhino’s thongs? Is it the rainbow? Or perhaps it’s the sun and the stars? That’s why I named my whimsical, child-friendly rhino ‘What’s Your Favourite?’.

Artists statement

Monique Dery-Boyer is an artist based in Sydney, who has lived in Australia for close to three decades. Monique has an intuitive sense for colour and design in her art and enjoys painting animals, nudes, abstracts and interpretive landscapes. She has produced a number of botanical art paintings, most notably, her painting "Calla Lilies" was awarded First Prize for Pushing the Boundaries by The Botanical Art Society of Australia (2007) and was the finalist in the Mosman Art Prize (2008). When she is not painting, Monique can be found teaching her weekly class, Understanding Colour at the Ku-ring-gai Art Centre.

To view more of Monique's work, go to: http://moniquedery-boyer.com

Sculpture Details

Type : Small (calf)

Measurements : 700mm (h) x 1220mm (l) x 400mm (w)

Weight : Approximately 15Kg
