In the last episode of Wild Life at the Zoo, a young Australian Hobby, ‘Pez’ gets spooked whilst showing off the fast flying these birds are known for in the Free Flight Bird Show.  See the dedication of his keepers as they travel around Sydney searching for Pez, and after a long anxious night with the Hobby still out, keepers, literally wake up before the birds to help bring him home.

The Taronga Wildlife Hospital also treats a 100+ kilogram Green Turtle found floating at Port Macquarie and it may just help unlock some secrets about the migration habits of its species , whilst a group of Little Penguins take to the air, establishing an insurance breeding program for their species in Europe.

The Taronga Wildlife Hospital treats an average of 40 marine turtles each year that have been washed up on beaches or found floating, unable to swim in the sea. The task of rehabilitating and releasing these animals along with hundreds of other native animals that come into the hospital’s care is the task of Taronga’s veterinarians and nurses.
