Indigenous Education Day

Aboriginal communities have distinct cultures, languages and traditions. Recognising this, Taronga Zoo’s Aboriginal Education Officers have developed a variety of high quality learning experiences to benefit you and your students. Learn about the area’s Flora and Fauna from an Aboriginal Perspective to better assist how you can embed this cross curriculum priority into your practice. The Aboriginal histories and cultures cross-curriculum area encompasses the concepts of Country and Place, People, Culture and Identity.

Join us at the Zoo on the 15th of July and experience the Nura Diya Trail. You will also hear about our acclaimed ‘Animals of the Dreaming’ program. This engaging program could be presented to your students either at the Zoo or your school through our Zoo Mobile or Video Conferencing.
