Royal Zoological Society

The Royal Zoological Society of New South Wales (RZS of NSW) is concerned with the study and conservation of Australia's native fauna, and the education of its members and the general public on these subjects. Its objectives are to promote and advance the science of Zoology, and to protect, preserve and conserve the indigenous animals of Australia and their associated habitats. 


The RZS promotes its objectives by: 

World Association of Zoos and Aquaria (WAZA)

The World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA) is the "umbrella" organisation for the world zoo and aquarium community. Its members include leading zoos and aquariums, and regional and national Associations of Zoos and Aquariums, as well as some affiliate organisations, such as zoo veterinarians or zoo educators, from all around the world. 

Together they are 'United for Conservation'.
