Animal Encounters – Meet our animals

Make your visit to the Zoo even more special with an up-close animal encounter.  You can feed a carrot to a Giraffe, come face to face with the big cats and even go behind the scenes to see some of the Zoo's African animals!

Giraffes in Focus

Come face to face with the Zoo's tallest resident, a Giraffe! This encounter allows guests to get up-close to feed and photograph these magnificent creatures.

Wild Africa Encounter

Go behind the scenes and see some of the Zoo's amazing African animals including the critically endangered Black Rhinos, White Rhinos and Cheetah plus enjoy a safari-like experience through our African Savannah, where Giraffe, Zebra and Eland roam.

Feed a Big Cat

This encounter will bring you up close, real close to the Zoo's big cats! You will come face to face with either the African Lion or Sumatran Tiger as you feed it.
