Like people, animals are more active during certain periods of the day than others. During the warm summer months the Zoo’s animals are most active early in the day, so visiting in the morning may mean you'll see greater activity than in the afternoon.

There's a 6km loop road that winds through the Zoo, and Taronga encourages guests to go around more than once, However to get the best view of our animals, leave your vehicle and stroll down the paths and bike trails to the front of the exhibits. Make use of the African Savannah Viewing Platform to get a panoramic view of the plains.

Don’t forget that your admission is valid for two consecutive days. If you don’t catch your favourite animal on the first day, feel free to come back again the next day!
