Group bookings

With discounted rates for groups of 12 or more, coach parking facilities, plus daily shows and talks, Taronga Zoo Sydney is the perfect place to bring your group for a memorable day out!


Group rates are available on request for the following groups:

  • Seniors
  • Language Centre students
  • Vacation Care, pre-schools and playgroups*
  • Youth Groups
  • Disabled & Disadvantaged groups**

Planning your visit

To ensure your group visit runs as smoothly as possible, take the following steps: 

Concession cards

Holders of the following cards are offered the concession rate. Guests must have their card available in case it is requested at the gate. The original card must be presented - photocopies will not be accepted.

All concessions are valid for one person per card. When more than one name is on the concession card, the primary card holder (the first name) only is entitled to the concession rate.

Accepted concession cards:

Pensioner Concession Card (PCC)

Only the primary card holder is entitled to a concession rate.

Australian Pension Concession Cards (PCC) are issued to those to whom one of the following applies: 

  • Age Pension
  • Carer Payment
  • Disability Support Pension
  • Jobseeker payment or Youth Allowance and are a single, caring for a dependent child and looking for work 
  • Parenting payment (single) 
  • 60+ years receiving certain income support payments 
  • If you have partial capacity to work and are receiving certain income support payments

Companion Card - State & Territories of Australia

Only the primary card holder is entitled to a concession rate.

Companion Cards are issued to people with significant, permanent disabilities, so that they can participate in activities for which they require the assistance of a companion. 

The companion or carer receives free of charge entry for the sole purpose of assisting the disabled guest. 

Health Cards

Only the primary card holder is entitled to a concession rate.

Health Cards - Centrelink, Commonwealth Seniors and Veteran Affairs are issued to people who qualify for the following: 

  • Certain Income Support payments 
  • Veteran Affairs for all conditions 
  • Veteran Affairs for specific conditions 
  • Veteran Afairs for all conditions - War Widows 
  • Veteran Affairs for specific conditions - totally and permanently incapacitated (TPI) 

Seniors Card

Only the primary card holder is entitled to a concession rate.

  • For Australian residents we accept government issued Seniors cards for the primary card holder.
  • For International guests we accept ID with proof of age 65 years and over.

Student Card

Only the primary card holder is entitled to a concession rate.

A Student Card is issued to students studying on a full time basis.

Student Cards are only valid with current date or a transport sticker supplied by your institution.
