Don’t miss the Keeper talks and shows

If you want to know more about a specific animal, Taronga has a variety of keeper talks; Daily Timetable. If you have time, don’t forget the QBE Free Flight Bird Show, where you will see a variety of species in full flight!

Pick up a Wild Australia Walk Map

The map suggests things to do in 40 minutes, 60 minutes and 90 minutes and mentions highlights like Australia’s unique nocturnal wildlife.

Visit the free Main Entrance Plaza

Taronga Zoo’s newly redeveloped historical Main Entrance Plaza is a free access zone where visitors can get a taste of the famous Zoo even if they can only stay for a short visit. Here you can view the Waterbird exhibit, browse the Zoo Shop for souvenirs, and enjoy a coffee or meal at the new Café Terrace.

Don’t forget to use the Sky Safari and experience the Zoo from above

Learn why they call Taronga the “Zoo with the View.” The Sky Safari offers an uninterrupted panorama of Sydney Harbour and a birds-eye view of many animals. See if you can spot the elephant calves, Luk Chai and Pathi Harn, playing in their paddock!
