Ever wondered how Taronga’s Zoo Keepers train a seal, a lion or even an elephant. Come behind the scenes for a once in a lifetime experience at Taronga Zoo and learn about animal training from the experts!
Animal Training is a two-day training course designed to give you the skills and know-how to use Taronga’s training techniques at home.
This course will give you some amazing behind-the-scenes experiences watching zoo animals in training – up close and personal!
Participants will be treated to two full days with Taronga Zoo’s expert Animal Trainers, course material to take home, lunch each day, a certificate of participation and a photo as a memorabilia gift of your experience.
Entry Requirements
Minimum age requirement for this course is 16 years of age. Participants are also required to have a reasonable level of fitness and physical ability to traverse the Taronga Zoo site.
Where is the course held?
The course will be held at Taronga Zoo. Participants meet at the Taronga Zoo Education Centre at 7.50am.
Duration
The course is presented over two days, 8.00am – 5.00pm.
To enrol in Animal Training complete the enrolment form and return to the Taronga Training Institute.
