Monifa is truly lucky by name and nature. Unable to stand or feed when she was born, she could have died if not for the 24-hour, dedicated care of her keepers. Tassie Devils are being wiped out in the wild at an alarming rate due to a horrific cancer. Taronga and Taronga Western Plains Zoos are working with other zoos across Australia to breed an insurance population of devils to release back into the wild when it's safe to do so.
