During the day the Eastern Grey Kangaroo rests in the shade. In the late afternoon and early morning it grazes on shrubs and grasses. Using large front teeth it tears off pieces of plants which are then chewed with cheek teeth.  Plants can be tough and these cheek teeth wear down. No problem! New teeth grow at the back of the mouth and slowly move down to replace worn out teeth.
