Some 3,000 hikers including dads of all ages will take to the spectacular Harbour foreshore paths around the lower north shore this Father’s Day, Sunday 1 September to help discover the secrets of Sydney Harbour and raise much needed funds for marine research.
Regarded as one of the best walks in the world, the 12km Fantasea Harbour Hike, being held for the third year, starts under the famed Sydney Harbour Bridge and culminates with a marine-themed festival at the Chowder Bay finish line with a range of activities and stalls including the Taronga Zoomobile for those wanting to meet some of our native wildlife.
The walk is estimated to take an average walker approximately 3 hours to complete the 12km route.
Why not make a day of it and visit Taronga’s Seal Show and Penguin Talk to learn more about the amazing animals that you will be supporting.
Organisers are urging hikers to register early as the number of walkers is limited to the first 3,000 people.
Entry fees for Fantasea Harbour Hike are:
$35 for adults and
$25 for children 12 years and under.
Get your friends and families to sponsor your walk and you could win prizes for your fundraising efforts, including an annual Zoo Friends membership!
