A magical event supported by Taronga Western Plains Zoo, the lantern parade is part of the Macquarie Credit Union DREAM Festival, which runs from 12-22 October 2017.

The parade is a stunning display of impressive lantern sculptures including rhino, turtles, goanna, piano, drums, and hundreds of lanterns made by school children in the Central West region. The Black Rhino lantern (pictured) commissioned by the Zoo is a highlight of the parade year after year!

The lantern parade starts from lower Talbragar Street in the Dubbo CBD at 8pm. Mass lanterns are walked through the streets of Dubbo, finishing in Victoria Park, Darling Street, at around 8.45pm.
