Run with the herd at the Dubbo Stampede Running Festival on Sunday 25 August 2019. The event takes place in the picturesque location of Taronga Western Plains Zoo with the longer distances enjoying the opportunity to run along the Macquarie River. 

The 5.3 km Dingo Dash is perfect run for families with kids of all ages, or for those who are looking for a leisurely stroll around the Zoo’s picturesque location. It involves one loop of the Zoo circuit so you can enjoy seeing endangered and exotic animals whilst getting a little bit of exercise! 

The 5.3km Wallaby Wheel is designed for participants in wheelchairs is being run for a third time this year. For those who like a bit more of a challenge there is the 10km Cheetah Chase, the 21.1km Zebra Zoom Half Marathon or 42.2km Rhino Ramble Marathon.

This year you can help support Taronga Western Plains Zoo in making a difference whilst participating in the Dubbo Stampede. join Team Taronga and stick your neck out to help fundraise for the giraffes. Funds raise will help support the breeding and conservation program at the Zoo as well as the future development of a new Giraffe exhibit.
