Another early start for YATZ, but this time it was off to school!
The third day at Chiltern was spent with the excited and enthusiastic year 4, 5 and 6 students of St. Joseph's Catholic School. Together we participated in a range of activities including a scavenger hunt in the forest behind their school, followed by a Q&A session about the Regent Honeyeater with the YATZ and the students. The students also enjoyed making some environmental art, and after a long day, it was time to say goodbye. It was so great to meet the local school kids and help each other learn about the Regent Honeyeaters which live in the nearby forest.
YATZ spent the rest of the day relaxing, looking around town and visiting a local farm. With an earlier night than the previous days, hopefully YATZ will be well rested for the release of the birds into the wild tomorrow!
