By splashing and dashing for Taronga Conservation Society Australia, you can help raise vital funds for Marine Turtle rescue and rehabilitation and support Taronga’s initiatives to reduce plastic in the ocean.
At Taronga’s Wildlife Hospital, we treat roughly 40 turtles every year. Rehabilitating and releasing turtles is a priority at Taronga. Turtles often mistake people’s rubbish for food, such as plastics, which can sadly have fatal consequences on these beautiful creatures.
Taronga has made a commitment to the conservation of marine turtles – they play a vital role in maintaining healthy coral reefs and seagrass beds and help to balance food webs.
It is with your generous support that we are able to care for the wild creatures in our Zoos and help save animals like the Marine Turtle!
