Our Gorilla Keepers will be busy today moving Frala, Fataki and Fuzu to an off exhibit area where they will stay for the next few months. This is the same specially-built area our Orang-utans enjoyed while Taronga’s Chimpanzees moved into the Orang-utan exhibit during the Chimpanzee Sanctuary renovations.
It’s part of the future program for our gorilla group at Taronga Zoo and there’ll be lots of new developments coming up.
Like all animals moving to a new area the keepers are expecting the three to enjoy the different environment which will also give the two young males great opportunities to develop and mature.
The other gorillas in the family will be back on display from tomorrow for visitors to see.
