Taronga Zoo’s function centre is boasting a fresh new look after undergoing some extensive refurbishments and launching a range of delectable new menus.
The Taronga Centre’s Harbourview Terrace and Harbourview Ballroom have been refurbished marking the start of a new 5-year contract between Taronga and exclusive onsite catering team Compass Group’s Restaurant Associates division.
New menus designed by award-winning celebrity chef Sean Connolly feature a range of gourmet delights including freshly-shucked Sydney rock oysters with Cabernet Sauvignon Vinaigrette, White wine Daube of Beef with Potato Puree, Speck, Morels and Glazed Shallots, and Manjari Dark Chocolate Fondant with Vanilla Ice Cream.
The Taronga Centre is an iconic venue and hosts a large variety of both small and large scale events catering for a range of corporate and private functions. Each room boasts panoramic views of Sydney Harbour and the zoo grounds.
The Centre was officially recommissioned on Tuesday 23rd October at an exclusive evening launch party event, featuring a safari-themed cocktail party and live music. The new canapés menu was also launched on the night.
The popular Harbourview Café in grounds at Taronga Zoo is also due to undergo extensive refurbishments and will be a fine dining restaurant, taking advantage of its intimate location and views overlooking the Zoo’s sprawling concert lawns.
