In celebration of Science, Taronga Zoo in collaboration with Sydney University are calling all scientifically inclined youngsters and oldsters alike, to visit us during the Sydney Science Festival to take part in this hands on, educational challenge.
Your mission, should you choose to accept, is to complete at least six Status Critical challenges that are designed around University of Sydney Research projects and Taronga Zoo’s legacy species – animals that are critically endangered and need your help to conserve them.
Working in family teams, agents can immerse themselves in hands-on, scientific challenges that will allow participants to see wildlife through the eyes of a scientist. Conservation agents will learn about threats to these species and will be guided through a series of activities to help educate the agent on what conservation strategies are in place to ensure a future for these magnificent animals.
Your Status Critical: A Conservation Challenge dossier will be available at the zoo entrance, and children will receive free entry to the zoo when accompanied by a paying adult. Click here to find out how to redeem your free child ticket.
Agents that participate in the designated challenges and return a completed dossier go into the draw to win a family pass to Taronga Zoo.
