During the month of February, visitors to Taronga Western Plains Zoo will have the exclusive opportunity to go on a free guided tour of the newly constructed state-of-the-art elephant facility before the four Asian Elephants arrive from Taronga Zoo in the first half of this year. This is an opporunity to go behind-the-scenes and take a walk through the new elephant barn with a keeper and see first hand the area that the elephants will call home. This includes a three-stall elephant barn and two new paddocks.
The tour is free of charge and will take place daily at 11:45am during February only. The tour will depart from the African Elephant viewing shelter.
