5 Minutes To Midnight

Rhino Inspiration:

Our theme is that midnight symbolises extinction for all species of rhino. Time has almost run out for rhinos and has already done so for some species, BUT there is still time to save them.  The time has come to consider between conservation and extinction. All the clocks we painted are set at 5 minutes to midnight.  We looked at Salvador Dali’s “The Persistence of Memory”. The background s drawn from colours of  the  Snowy Mountains endangered Corroboree Frog, which is being cared for in captivity  as part of a breeding program here in Jindabyne.
