St Therese Catholic School
St Therese's Catholic Primary School is a systemic parish school educating boys and girls from Kindergarten to Year 6. It is part of the Inner Western Region of the Sydney Archdiocese. Our school bean in 1962 under the care of the Sisters of St Joseph, whose traditions are maintained proudly. We welcome children and their families from many lands and cultures. Cultural diversity, tolerance and harmony are proud features of our school. As a community of believers we are united by the message of Jesus and are inspired by the lives and teachings of St Therese of Lisieux and St Mary of the Cross MacKillop. Our school motto is We are People of Love; We are People of Hope; We are People of Faith (1 Peter 2:4-5; Eph 2: 19-22) and we are committed to demonstrating this in our thoughts, our words and our actions.
Rhino Sculpture Name:
Rosie the Rhino
The children collaborated together on the design of Rosie .As our school is named St Therese's after St Therese of Lisieux who is also known as' the little flower' it was decided to cover the rhino in lots of brightly coloured flowers. We also wanted to include a quote from St Therese to inspire others to help protect and conserve the rhino." A reminder to all of us who feel we can do nothing, it is the little things that keep God's kingdom growing" St Therese of Lisieux ( the Little Flower).
