Here, you’ll meet a Zoo Keeper, see a Black Rhino and learn more about this critically endangered species and the work we’re doing to conserve it.

Did you know that Taronga Western Plains Zoo is the most successful institution breeding Black Rhinoceros outside Africa? We’ve welcomed another calf this year, and you may get a glimpse of him during this special behind the scenes experience.

Bookings can be made online and via the Ticketing Desk.

Black Rhinoceros experience tickets exclude Zoo admission, tickets to Tickets to Taronga Western Plains Zoo Dubbo can be purchased separately online prior to your visit.

Guest requirements: 
•    Guests must be able to walk a 500m distance
•    Sturdy, enclosed footwear is recommended
