Encounter the world's tallest land animal! During this experience you’ll have the opportunity to feed these gentle giants from the Zoo's Giraffe Boardwalk.

The Giraffe Encounter is an additional cost. Places are limited. We advise booking online to secure your place.

Need to know

  • Cost: $15 per person for Adults (16 years and up) and Children (4 to 15 years)
    • General Admission tickets to Taronga Western Plains Zoo Dubbo must be purchased separately
  • When: 10am daily
  • Places are limited and bookings are essential.
  • Same day bookings for a Giraffe encounter close at 9.30am.
  • Please note this encounter is available at Taronga Western Plains Zoo Dubbo only.

Please note, due to the Dubbo Stampede Running Festival the Giraffe Encounter will not take place on Sunday 27 August 2023.
