The best way to explore the Zoo’s 5.5km circuit is by bike or electric cart! Bike and electric carts can be hired from the Zoo’s hire centre or you can bring your own bike. Visitors can also drive their own car or walk. 

Plan your day around our 10 Keeper Talks throughout the day, all included free with your Zoo entry. They are a great opportunity to learn more about the animals from the Zoo Keepers and see the animals at feeding time!

For the ultimate wild experience, stay overnight at Taronga Western Plains Zoo! Sleep under the stars at Billabong Camp, stay in the self-contained Savannah Cabins or enjoy our luxurious African-style Zoofari Lodge.

There is so much to experience at the Lion Pride Lands precinct from seeing the pride on exhibit, to meeting the goats in the replica African village or venture into the exhibit on the Pride Lands Patrol tour. Kids can climb to the top of the lookout or pretend to be a lioness in the play area. 

Young adventurers will be taken on a journey through the Zoo to learn about animals, meet the people that take care of them and take part in engaging experiences.
