About the encounter
- Cost: From $69.95 - General Admission tickets to Taronga Zoo Sydney must be purchased separately
- When: 1.30pm daily
- Duration: 20 minutes
- Where: Dingo Country, Nura Diya (Map Ref: 4J)
- Tickets: Available from 9.00am on the day of the encounter from the Retail Shop at Top Plaza (Map Ref. 7L)
- Accessibility: This Encounter is wheelchair accessible. Please advise if wheelchair access is required
Important to note:
- Participants must be 15 years and over
- Guests will be required to wear flat closed-toed shoes.
- The Dingo Habitat has uneven surfaces and steep inclines, including steps on entrance. There is a separate entrance for wheelchair accessibility.
- Photos can only be taken within the Habitat and not inside the den.
- Please be aware that animals respond in different ways to different people, and the encounter may vary day to day.
- We may be handling animal products during the tour, if there are any allergies to please highlight to the keeper leading the tour.
- We may also ask the guests to behave in a certain way to assist in their behavioural development.
- This Encounter is weather dependant – both for heat and wet weather.

Paw-some Dingo facts:
- Dingoes are the largest land predator in Australia and are considered an apex predator
- Dingoes are not a dog-breed, they are just as much as a wolf than they are dog. Evidence suggests that Dingoes arrived as domesticated pets more roughly 4000 years ago from travellers from Southeast Asia that reverted back to their wild state
- There are three types of Dingoes that have adapted to Australia’s vast climate: the desert, alpine and northern
- Dingoes has an impressive sense of vision and can swivel their heads about 180 degrees

Bookings for animal encounters are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable to another date. No refunds will be offered for cancellations made by the purchaser. This animal encounter is subject to cancellation in extreme weather conditions and for animal welfare reasons.
