Share a special behind-the-scenes encounter with our curious penguins.

SCHOOL HOLIDAYS ONLY 

Get up close with Taronga’s Penguin colony. During this encounter, you’ll waddle with a keeper inside the penguin habitat to learn all about these loveable creatures. From feathers to flippers, you’ll dive into the aquatic world to understand what being a Penguin is all about!

About the encounter

  • Cost: $79 per person
  • When: 2:00pm daily
  • Where: Map ref 10E
  • Must be 8 years old or older (participants between the age of 8 and 14 must be accompanied by a paying adult)
  • Tickets available from 9am on the day of the encounter from the Top Plaza Shop (Map Ref. 7L)

 

Note: Guests will be required to:

  • Wear enclosed shoes during the encounter
  • Guests must be able bodied to access and climb some stairs into the Penguin exhibit.
  • Sit still during the encounter without any sudden movements
  • Sit on the exhibit floor for up to 20 minutes
  • Unfortunately, there is No wheelchair access

 

Refunds & Cancellations

Bookings for animal encounters are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable to another date. No refunds will be offered for cancellations made by the purchaser. This animal encounter is subject to cancellation in extreme weather conditions and for animal welfare reasons.
