Get up close with Taronga’s Penguin colony

During this encounter, you’ll waddle with a keeper inside the penguin habitat to learn all about these loveable creatures. From feathers to flippers, you’ll dive into the aquatic world to understand what being a Penguin is all about!

Taronga Zoo’s Penguins can’t wait to meet you!

Guests will be required to

  • Wear enclosed shoes during the encounter
  • Guests must be able bodied to access and climb some stairs into the Penguin exhibit.
  • Sit still during the encounter without any sudden movements
  • Sit on the exhibit floor for up to 20 minutes
  • Unfortunately, there is No wheelchair access

The Great Southern Oceans habitat introduces you to Australia's diverse marine wildlife. Meet Australian Sea Lions, Long-nosed Fur Seals, Californian Sea Lions, Penguins and Pelicans.
