Taronga Western Plains Zoo has opened a second Cheetah exhibit towards the end of the Zoo circuit, just after the Lion Pride Lands precinct.
The new area offers a different perspective from which to view the two male Cheetah, with a boardwalk and platform overlooking the animals.
Currently the exhibit is occupied by brothers Kebini and Timka, who were originally from Orana Wildlife Park in New Zealand. Both males are currently non breeding at Taronga Western Plains Zoo, as Kebini has sired multiple litters, and are enjoying their new home.
The pair live together in what is called a coalition and will remain at this new exhibit area for the time being.
