Keepers at Taronga’s Backyard to Bush would like to wish everyone a safe and happy Easter holidays!
Everyone celebrates Easter in different ways. And just like a lot of us, our animals at Backyard to Bush enjoyed some delicious Easter eggs. But they weren’t of the chocolate variety.
Instead they enjoyed rolling around some painted eggs to find all of the delicious treats inside.
For our chickens and ducks, the treats included seeds and worms. Our goats and sheep found yummy carrot and our quokkas and red kangaroos enjoyed some corn.
Our special “Easter” bunnies, which just happen to all be named after chocolates, also got some Easter eggs, although maybe they hid them there themselves!
These enrichment treats are not just tasty; they’re also a great way to challenge and stimulate our wonderful animals and encourage their natural skills.
