Local wins ultimate wild adventure
A Dubbo resident has won the trip of a lifetime simply by visiting the Zoo!Maree Newman will soon be jetting off to Africa courtesy of Taronga Western Plains Zoo and promotional partners Bench International and Etihad Airways.Maree’s entry was drawn from more than 3900 submitted by Zoo visitors hailing from all over Australia between August and October through the Zoo’s Ultimate Wild Adventure promotion.“I couldn’t believe it when I heard the news,” Maree said when she visited the Zoo last week to collect her prize pack including itinerary, guide book, travel wallet and plush Giraffe.“It’s only just starting to sink in. I am so looking forward to planning and taking this amazing trip.”Maree’s prize, valued at $12,000, includes international return economy airfares to Nairobi Kenya for 2 adults, provided by Etihad Airways, and a 12-day Kenyan Safari to some of Kenya’s best National Parks and Reserves, courtesy of Bench International, the Africa travel experts.Maree is going to have an amazing time in Africa. Highlights of her safari will include spectacular scenery at Severin Camp in Tsavo West, large herds of red elephants at Satao Camp in Tsavo East, Amboseli National Park with its amazing wildlife and Satao Elerai with its awesome view of Mount Kilimanjaro.
